Hi! I’m Madison Warner and I’ve been instructing for over 10 years under Michael M. Foley system
of Koden Kan Karate, you can go to our website which is h2hctc.com or my website which is
mellei.com and I have a link to the other one on there so. Today we’re going to learn
the noogie, I know it sounds really strange but it really works really well. This is basically
just a get away from me technique, somebody was coming in to you know say push you or
you know a choke again, what you would do is take a knuckle, any knuckle this is the
way I do it…you bring these two fingers in to make a V so that this knuckle is propped
on there so it can’t go anywhere and then you lock it in with your thumb and that way
you know this is a very strong hand technique, you can do a lot with this but what we’re
going to do today is you’re going to step in and you’re going to place your finger
or knuckle whatever knuckle on the sternum of your attacker and you’re just going to
push forward as you step into your kiba dachi stance and rotate and you’re also going
to wiggle it, not like this…don’t do this…but you can just wiggle up and down this way with
your wrist, do it on yourself and feel how well it would work, cause it hurts let me
tell you, if it doesn’t hurt try a different spot, go up and do try a different spot. You’re
going to step in, place your knuckle and then you’re going to slide into your stance again
just like before, okay so they’re going to step in and choke and you’re just going
to place your hand and you’re going to step forward and wiggle, wiggle your hand, wiggle
your wrist as you go. Again this is just a very quick technique and once you feel what
it does you’ll understand, that’s why I said try it on yourself and that’s the
noogie.
