Hi, my name is Jason Ryan. Welcome to my cab. This is Viking Mafia 5150.
The 5150V basically stands for crazy. It's an LAPD call sign,
and we couldn't think of any better name for the truck but 'crazy' or 'insane'.
So, 5150 Volvo.
This truck came from a lot of years of thinking about all the things I could do
that nobody else has done before.
It was a case of actually trying to make it all turn into real life.
People laugh at a lot of things that I wanted to do,
but we eventually pulled it off.
When we started trying to come up with something different for this truck,
the exhaust pipes were something I wanted to play around with.
We got four induction pipes and eight exhaust pipes,
and to top it off, a lady Viking over the top of it all.
In trying to do things differently, we decided to drill holes in the swords
and put lights inside them. Everything functions - reverse light, brake,
park light, indicators, and another park light at the top.
With the inside of the cab, we didn't want to change things too much.
I certainly love the way the interiors on these trucks are presented.
They've done very well, the quality's awesome.
Basically we changed the trim on the seats from the original Volvo trim...
Black leather, black suede...
When it came to the stereo, we decided to just go a little bit nuts.
The thing will blow the windows out if you turn the volume up high enough.
Other than that, the 70 inch LED TV just kind of topped it off.
Okay, let's give this baby a run.
We tried a few different ideas on what to do with the tanks.
We wrapped them in leather. It didn't look that good until we bolted them on
and these straps got airbrushed.
That end result we're just stoked with.
You know, guys that traditionally wouldn't look at a Volvo, for instance,
or anything along the line of the European trucks,
can't help but respect the amount of work and art that's gone into that.
I'm proud that we can take a bit of the attention away
from some of the traditional styles of trucks in Australia,
and make people look at this and say, 'That is pretty cool.'
