Today on our 2013 Honda Fit well be test fitting the Sportrack two bike carrier, part number
A30901. To begin our test fit well slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the
hitch tube, align the threaded pin holes, well thread our anti-rattle bolt through the
threaded pin holes and tighten with a wrench. Now lets go over some clearance measurements
to see how this bike carrier and the vehicle fit together. There is about 8 inches of ground
clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about
9 inches. Weve added about 26 inches to the overall length of the vehicle.
To access the cargo area pull the three safety pins located at the base of the carrier and
fold the wheel cradles as well as the mast. This will allow you to have access to your
cargo door. To load the bike, first make sure that the mast is in its upright position and
the frame hooks are at the top of the mast and your cradles straps are undone. Sit the
bike in the wheel cradles and adjust the frame hook tightly against the frame. Then secure
it with the cradles straps.
