I welcome you to Saatvik Vyanjan Show.
Today's dish is very nice & interesting . We are going to teach you to make a new type of Pulao.
We will teach you to make Daliya Ka Pulao.
Daliya ka Pulao. Lets ask What is this Daliya?
Daliya is cracked wheat grain which is used in making roti.
We are going to use that Daliya to make Pulao..
When people follow diet, some people have been advised by doctors not to eat rice,
so if you can't eat rice then what to use for pulao?
So we are going to use Daliya to make this special Pulao today.
Vishnu Didi just explained to us what is Daliya ?
Daliya is, cracked wheat grains which is used to make rotis,
it is easily available in the grain store .
As per your requirement 100gm or 200gm you may buy to make this dish.
Now lets see how this is prepared.
Ingredients for Daliya Pulao have kept before you.
This is Daliya, the other things required for this dish are carrot, beans, tomatoes
cabbage,capsicum, coriander leaves, green peas, potatoes,
nothing is complete without potatoes, we also include cashewnuts & raisins
in this so dry fruits are also included,.
The masalas which are needed are kept before you like sugar, chilli powder , salt, turmeric.
So you can see that all these items are nutritious
which neither will you gain weight but you will surely become very healthy.
So lets begin.
Firstly, as soon as you enter the kitchen you should remember Paramatma, which gives you tremendous strength .
So when you come before the gas , for a second stand in remembrance of Paramatma
Om Shanti.
So now we have lighted the gas, for the Daliya to be prepared fast we make use of 2 to 3 gas stoves
Now we pour oil in this pan
Pulao can be made in different ways, the more oil & ghee you add the more tasty it is made.
We are going to use less oil & make it very tasty.
Put only 2 tsp of oil .
Now we add sugar to this, the white colour turns red,
when it turns red we will add the other ingredients
she has added 2tsp of sugar
Do we need to put ground sugar? No
You need to put sugar so that it kneads well,
first gas should be on high flame, so that sugar turns red fast
this redness gives a good fragrance & taste too, redness adds to the beauty of rice ,
but we are using Daliya in place of rice , specially for those people who are not rice eaters,
let me mention here that todays young generation being health conscious,
feel that eating rice will make them fat , lazy etc.
So for such people this Daliya Pulao is a good replacement.
Sugar is getting dissolved and in 2 minutes it will turn red,
Immediately we need to put red chilli & rest of the ingredients, otherwise it will get burnt,
Anything done in the right way will add taste to the dish.
Shake the pan in the way Vishnu Didi is doing.
now you can see the smoke, then put red chilli, lots of smoke but dish is very tasty,
you can see the redness again both the colours are different,
now we have kept the gas on low flame , add tomatoes this colour is main,
now you need to temper it, which is very important, you should not allow it to be burnt, keep it in the side,
Along with Sugar we have added tomatoes see that they do not turn red
as then it may burn the dish, keep the gas on accurate temperature,
Keep the gas on low flame and cover the pan with a lid..
Now we will take the cooker & keep it on gas
inside the cooker we will pour a little oil and cook the vegetables,
we put 2-3 tsp of oil for the vegetables.
Now keep shaking the other pan so that they do not stick to the pan.
First always keep the gas on high flame, so that it is heated fast
then slowly turn to slow flame, like you drive a car using brake in between,
You need to keep turning up & down, now the tomatoes, the colour is getting enriched
the main is this base, now 2 minutes still remain,
the oil is heated in the cooker, since red chilli is already added in the pan we need not put it in cooker
now we will put the vegetables in the cooker, first put cashewnuts & raisins,
when they are cooked, is it because they are very hard?
To make them mix well, then make the flame slow & remove from gas, see the colour,
Now we put green peas in this, it splutters, then put cabbage,
our Vishnu Didi is an expert so there is no so she is not afraid of hurting her hands while putting the vegetables
but we advise you to be careful while tempering, that oil does not spill on you
now we have put beans & cabbage into it,
if you like more vegetables then you can use more of them, now we put carrot & capsicum
these vegetables need to cook well.
Now the tomato gravy is ready so we switch off that gas with the pan.
There is no compulsion in using these vegetables.
You may use those vegetables as per your choice, taste & liking.
Now we add pieces of potatoes to it.
We don't need boiled potatoes, raw potatoes can be taken.
All the vegetables need to be boiled nicely.
Now we need to cover the cooker with a lid.
So that it gets cooked properly.
Now the tomato base which is ready , we need to keep in mind about Daliya,
For the pulao we need to heat the Daliya and keep it ready.
We have already heated it.
We need to measure & take 1 Katori of Daliya .
We will add this 1 Katori of Daliya to the tomato base prepared.
It smells very nice. Now we heat the tomato Daliya mix Now we will start the Gas again
Pls take Daliya measuring 1 Katori so that you do not take more or less quantity of Daliya.
Let your measurement be accurate, now mix Daliya & tomato together,
Now we take 3 katori water in another vessel & heat it for making pulao.
Now we use the 3rd Gas. You can see how all the Gas is being used.
We can make it even in a single gas but it will take some time .
So for 1 katori Daliya take 3 katori water.
Accurate measurement will result in good taste to the dish
You need to heat water because all are hot so the taste too gets enhanced in heat.
We can put plain water but the taste will differ.
So our Daliya is more or less cooked , vegetables too are being cooked,
We should cook in Paramatmas remembrance & full of love .
Now water is getting heated, Now we will mix Daliya in this.
Do it very carefully. Now we have heated in 3 ways,
Anything cooked ,its taste depends on the heat provided to it through fire
along with vegetables the heat given to it adds to its taste,
like in love we say, love at first eyesight,
even while cooking food the main attention required is, the temperature of heat provided by fire.
Now you can hear the sound, see the colour change too,, Now the water has been heated,
now if we pour it in this it will become very nice, do it very carefully,
once you start making it you will be automatically careful.
Now Daliya Pulao is on the verge of being made, this pulao is made by many people in different ways ,
but we specially make it in red colour.
Red is a loving & attractive colour, Now Daliya Pulao is ready .
Now we need to add salt as per taste. Salt is added at the end
We had kept in 3 places so now we will get an idea of the requirement of salt to the dish.
How many minutes you need to keep it?
We need to boil it for 12-15 minutes,we keep it in the cooker for 3 whistles Cooking in the cooker will save time.
Now we are showing you ready Pulao which has already been made.
You can see how nicely it has been decorated .using capsicum carrot, lemon and it has been topped with coriander leaves.
Daliya Pulao can be eaten by anyone. Like always can I taste the Pulao?
Surely you can taste it but in Baba's remembrance.
Don't forget that you should taste it in Baba's remembrance so that even if there is some small flaw in it still it will taste very nice.
I am not able to differentiate if rice or Daliya has been used in this Pulao.
It is very tasty & delicious
