The most fundamental thing about a Couch Request is that you have read that person's profile.
You have to check the Couch Information so you know what to expect.
Personal messages always work the best because that person knows you're not just randomly wanting to stay with them.
The most annoying thing as a host is when you receive a message
that clearly someone has sent the same thing, cut-paste, cut-paste.
I try to see if I have some connection with the people that I'm sending the request.
So sometimes I write, when I send request,
"Hey, maybe I can cook for you."
I've read on your profile you've been to the same countries I've been to.
Oh, you like films, I like them too.
You want to make them interested in you as much as you're interested in them.
