This is an old outside patio. the roof seems to be kind of short, you would
not be comfortable being under it, and plus it will cut a lot of light to the
house. I mean it was pretty easy to demo just careful
to not take any more than we wanted to keep the house intact. Pretty fast pretty easy,
straight to the dump. The back of the house had some slope to it
so all of the water out of the backyard was going towards the house, so we needed to correct
that. The concrete is the hardest part of the demo
job, hiring a guy with a Bobcat which has an attachment to break the concrete cuts the
work by half. And with the Bobcat there we were able to
grade it so we can control where we want to take the water.
We decided to put a drain in the middle so all the water collects into the middle and
goes into a drain that is taken all the way to the street.
This is a simple patio deck, easy to do and very useable it's just so much better than
what it used to be, now it lets so much light go into the house, you can feel yourself outside,
it lets the breeze come in, and it's just so much more beautiful.
