Hello friends, I'm Nikita Kurtin and today we gonna talk about something that become recently very popular
Training with weights, And today we have a very special Guest Vitalij Gummenij (World record holder for Pull Ups with weight 2012-2013)
-How do you train pull ups with weight? -Actually, I'm no longer training with weights. Anyway before you start training, it's important to put clear goal that you aiming.
To gain a big muscle mass, combine elements with weights training or to break a record - for all goals, there will be a different approach of training
Lets take for example Combining elements with weights training I suggest to have 4 training days a week
If your priority is elements improvement, so you can do 3 days training only elements and 1 day only training with weights.
or If your priority is training weight, maybe you want to break a record then I suggest to train 3 days with weights and only 1 day for elements.
In other hand If your goal is to get bigger and stronger muscle mass Then I suggest to train 3 days a week, so You have more rest.
Now about the traing it self, What I did was. My goal was to break a record with 32kg extra weight, but on my training I was taking 40kg
I was doing 5 sets of max reps and Imagening my self like I'm in the competition doing the record trying to make it as clean as posible, and only after this I was training the rest of the body
-Explain about the training plan. As I said, how many training days a week depends on the goal. I suggest to do 5 sets Pull Ups- max reps, and then 5 sets Dips also max reps. rest between sets 2 mins
After this continue with basic exercises, like push ups - and you can also add weight there wide grip, close grip, pull ups to chest, behind the head etc...
The most important thing is, if you want to break a record with 32kg I suggest to train with 40kg and always do the clean form just like you are in the competition.
-Always do Maximum reps? - Yes -What about some pre-caution notes? - I suggest to train with vest, instead of belt, to decrease the presure on your spine.
But if you don't have vest, I suggest to tie ropes from belt to shoulders (like vest) This way you compensate the weight on your back and shoulders.
The Ideal solution of course, is the new Vests that cover the whole upper body and add weight to legs. It's important always search for better training methods, and of course don't forget warm-up.
-So you suggest to train hard but gradually - Yes -Thank you Vitalij. -Thank you
