Neon Graffiti Matte Effect

Hi, I'm Kirsty from Naio Nails. In this video we gonna concentrate on this gorgeous graffiti design, with stripes and also some neon studs with a nice matte finish... Enjoy!! So for this design already applied a manageable length acrylic nail extension this is an almond shape really easy to wear and Iv'e put Back to Black on in the Urban Graffiti gel polish just on the ring finger. and then the other fingers have got a really nice natural base which is in the colour Bambino It's a nice nude colour. What I'm gonna do now before I start to do any design work on there, I'm gonna wipe off the sticky layer on all the nails. Using the Gel Residue Wipe Off Solution Just taking off that sticky layer What we're going to do first of all, We're going to use the Striping Tape, we're simply going to use it to mask off some lines Going across the nail Make sure you stick it right down to the sides I'm going to double the thickness up on this Just so that line is a little bit thicker We're going to do a few of these, just making sure they are stuck down to the sides. Do the same on the others They don't have to be exactly the same I'll put this one right at the top Notice as i'm popping these on I'm slightly overlapping them so I know there sealed Then make sure that's all stuck down If you haven't got nails to do that with you can.. smooth it down with the Cuticle pusher because the thumb is a little bit larger you can get a few more stripes on there just pulling them nice and tight to the nail snip off any excess, careful when you do this you don't want to cut your client we're all taped up now we're going to use a little bit of yellow acrylic paint... blue... bit of orange.. purple... white.. and black With the end of the brush, dip it in some water and let that drip there then i'm going to start to mix this until I get the colour that I want I'm going to use the brightest colour first, or the palest colour, which is the yellow quite messy with a big brush, it doesn't have to be small and detailed brush that over... really random where going to do a bit of the orange next the more random it is the better then we'll use the blue and let the blue go over onto some of the yellow so you get a green aswell then i'm going to use some of the purple. Now i'm going to add a little bit or green. Not a lot because we've already got a little bit of green on there from the colours that have mixed. and I'm going to use the black really random again brought you need to get it nice and neat around the edges let the the brush just skip over so you still see some of the colour coming through but you've also got the black aswell do this all the ones with the tape, don't forget you want it neat at the cuticle and round the sides check over what you done and if your happy with that you can then remover the tape which is the magic bit!!! our going to grab the ends of the tape and peel it away so we've got some cool stripes you can see where we've left a little bit of pink at the bottom, it looks really cool with the stripes i just wanted to do one which was completely full. So you've got your cool stripes there I'm going to Matte Top Coat these now I'm going to do something different on that nail This is Matte Gel Top Coat Making sure it's all covered this will seal in the design. That can go into the lamp now for one minute We're going to wipe the sticky layer off which will make it even more matte. And then we've got a selection here of the neon studs which we're going to put on right at the end here, so I'm just putting a little bit of Mega Gloss Sealer Gel to adhere that to the nail A triangle one, pop that straight on top of the sealer gel And put one on the end of there!!! I'm going to cure them in the lamp so they stay still then I'm going to put one of the thumb I'm going to use one of the sqyare ones but put it on in a diamond shape Pop it into the lamp What we're going to do now I'm going to work on this black nail clean it off.. using the Gel Residue Wipe Off Solution, so that it's nice and clean Then use some of the Mega Gloss Sealer Gel, just at the top here and we're going to make a bow. we're going to use orange get a little triangle on that side!!! It is a bit fiddly but it looks really cool position those with a gap in the middle and put one of the little tiny round... studs... in the middle. So you get a little neon bow You need to check the position of that before you pu it in the lamp. Make sure your happy with it Now we're going to seal all this again with the Matte So we're going to go over all of these little embellishments and seal it all with the Matte so the whole look of this design is matte going over... the little stud and were going to do all five nails If you didn't want to do this design matte You would seal everything in with the Mega Gloss Sealer Gel and you would have a shiny look but the matte look is really popular at the minute They can go into the lamp for a full minute Now we're going to wipe off the sticky layer with the Gel Residue Wipe Off Solution When you put cuticle oil on this to finish Just put it right round the cuticle area and the side walls you don't want to rub this over the nail because it will make it shiny sometimes what I do, is I give it another wipe after I have put the oil on That's the Matte Graffiti design completely finished.
