- Traveling to Mars would be incredible.
It would be, with current technologies,
approximately eight months in transit;
you'd be on the surface for a year, year and half;
and then another eight months back.
So it'd be, like, a three-year mission.
And it'd kind of be taking a road trip
with, well, three of your best friends.
You'd hopefully have, you know, a camper attached,
so another Mars transfer spacecraft, perhaps,
to give you some more space
to conduct experiments and work in your lander.
But other than that, you'd mostly have to be able
to, well, survive in confined quarters;
to exercise and work out to keep yourself fit
so that way, when you got onto the planet,
you'd be able to get out,
put on those space suits, walk around;
and to always be, you know, kept intellectually challenged,
solving problems, maintaining the spacecraft.
And, well, just like you have to clean your room,
we have to make sure we do housekeeping
and keep everything maintained.
