Exotic Club Interview

My name is Simon, I am the singer in a band called "Exotic Club". And Rémi does the rest. Rythm box, machines, synthesizer. We have been playing together for 6 months, and we have known each other for - 15 years 12-13 years. We have grown up in the same place and last year we moved to USA together We have started developing our project without really playing music there. He had another band and in September we decided to come back and do that. He creates the sound and I write the lyrics. I try to write a text and then we work again together before playing the track on live. According to the subjects of the texts, the songs change a little bit, and evoluate according to that. This is really something we do together without always being together, but we do that us two. We have known each other for a long time, as we have said, and we have been living together for two years and for many things we understand each other without always having to explain in details, we just understand each other and it works straight away. - Yes, it's easy and there are less ego problems than in other bands. we have released an EP It's available on social media : Soundcloud, Bandcamp. It has only been released in digital, we haven't released it in physical. And now we have a 4 or 5 tracks remix project. It is more "electro". And we are going to release another CD - a 2 tracks - as well, one month later. The release date of the track 'French Theory' that is on the EP is the 12th June, and one month after, hopefully, we will release a 2 tracks CD. The city where we have lived : Portland, Oregon, is not very famous but this is Gus Van Sant's town. And this is the city in USA where there are the most strip clubs per inhabitant. There are really everywhere. This is a quite fascinating place, - and it was close to the experience what we had heard about the city, and it was close to the music we wanted to play: - something "pop", dirty. We are pretty satisfied. So "Exotic Club".
