Today i am making vada pav ( in bread buns)
This is a Mumbai street food snack.
Add the mustard seeds.
Add asafoetida.
Add curry leaves.
Saute for a while.
Add chopped ginger, green chilli and garlic.
Add mashed potatoes.
Add salt to taste.
Add turmeric powder.
Add red chilli powder to make it spicy.
Add finely chopped coriander.
Let the mixture cool.
Heat the oil.
You need bengal gram flour and water.
We will make a ball.
Add salt to taste.
Add turmeric powder.
Mix well.
Take the potato mixture and roll into a ball.
Dip the ball into the bengal gram flour batter.
Fry the ball.
The original vada pav is served with garlic chutney.
Take this bread bun called ladi pav.
Cut in the center.
Put inside garlic chutney.
Put in the vada.
Add some garlic chutney on top.
Close the bun and this is your Vada Bread.
Now we are doing this with sweet chutney.
Then add spicy chutney.
Add garlic chutney.
Then put the vada.
