Hey guys. We're here today learning how to play some fun improv games for your improv
team. And the next game Dan B. and I are going to show you is a game called Ballet. Now to
play Ballet, you're going to want to get a group of improvisers, anywhere from four to
six, and you're going to improvise a ballet without any words. You can use music as you'd
like, but it's really important to designate at least one person to be the narrator. The
narrator is going to stand on the side of the stage and explain what's going on in this
ballet in a fairy tale type fashion. The other actors are then going to act out and recreate
the scenes as if they were ballerinas or ballerinos. I don't know what the male form of ballerina
is. Ballerinos? And it's a lot of fun, it's always an audience favorite. Now since there's
only two of us, Dan is going to be our ballerino, and I'm going to go ahead and narrate it.
So, are you ready Dan? Yes. Alright. This is a fairy tale called the Chipmunk That Was
Magical. The Chipmunk That Was Magical. Deep in the forests of Magical Lane, there was
a chipmunk that would scamper along and dance, collecting nuts. One day, he stumbled across
the shiny nut, very deep in the dirt. When the magical squirrel picked it up, he realized
it wasn't a nut at all, but it was a crystal, full of magical powers endowing the squirrel
with the ability to leap and fly with the greatest of ease. Immediately, the squirrel
scampered home to tell his family about the magical nut that he had found. He threw the
nut up into the tree and then ran up there, shouting with excitement, "Look what I found,
family, look what I found! It's magical! It's shiny!? And that's really how you play Ballet.
I think you guys will have a lot of fun. The more improvisers, the better. Check it out.
