[Tim Hodson] >> I am a strong proponent for the Capital Fellows Program. >> If you have an interest in being in government and seeing that government does good things for the people, the Capital Fellows program is for you. >>We need to seve others as well as taking care of our own interests. And, one of the best ways of doing that is through public service. >> I am proud to present Tim Hodson with The President's Leadership Award. [Clapping] When I first came to Sacramento, Tim was one of the first people that I met, when I came for this job and I will forever be grateful. I want to thank you, Tim, for introducing me to Sac State. >> You recognized, 14 years ago, the need for a judicial fellowship program. And, you have brought over 100 standing, young people to our administration. I've worked with him. I know your eye for talent, and your eye for training. >> Tim Hodson has always had that rare and priceless gift. That ability to disagree without being disagreed. >> Tim has been a very special person in all of our lives and we are grateful for that. >> Tim is great in terms of being able to provide additional mentorship for many people after the fellowship program. He's been someone I've been able to ask and learn as much as possible about public service for many of us who aspire to be as great a public servant as he has been. So, with that, Tim, thank you very much for all your help and for all of your participation and all you have committed and for all of the hundreds of public servants who've learned to do it the right way because of you. [Clapping] >> Thank you all for tonight, and thank you for asll the friendship and support over the years. Thank you to the wonderful people at the center, my comrades in arms. One couldn't wish for a greater group of friends. So, thank you. [Clapping] >> Time has always, always been a gentleman, a true gentleman, honest, thoughtful and willing to listen to different points of view, including my own. He's always been a man of his word. If Tim gives you his word, you can absolutely rely on it. These are qualities that we look for in leaders, in every field. And that Tim has, in abundance, his constant companions will be honored and integritied. [Music]
