At Precision we are a B2 or a 29-inch offset house, so the development of the HP Indigo
10000 is something that we've watched very closely over the last four to five years.
We knew it was coming, and were very keen to be involved at the earliest possible stage
in the beta site. The 10000 is a device that allows you to streamline bulk printing, and
that's bringing some great efficiencies to our production.
It allows us to supply products in small quantities and personalized products in formats that
we weren't able to support before, like landscape booklets, six page rollouts or folders with
pockets. We're also finding some real benefits with regard to the sheet size, and that's
allowing us to optimize impositions for smaller formats and really multiply the amount of
production that we're able to get out of the press.
We installed the HP Indigo 10000 in September last year, and started the beta testing through
peak season. It's progressing really well.
We are now able to produce printed copies from as little as one copy at a time to 50,000
orders per day. This is changing the way that digital printing can be used for our customers,
and it's ensuring a bright future for our business.
