HOST: And now the seventh
and final day of Hip Hop
International 2012.
It's been a long road for over
200 crews from over 40
different countries, and now
it all comes down to this.
Let's begin with the fearsome
Junior division.
These kids have been going hard
all week long, proving
that they truly are the
future of Hip Hop.
In third place, from Japan,
Onizawa Ikka.
Second place with the silver,
from Canada, Flip.
And defending their title, in
first place, Bubble Gum from
New Zealand.
After the junior division, we
are given a special exhibition
by the winners of yesterday's
world battles.
Next up is the Varsity
division.
We saw a lot of great
performances from these teens.
Only three could take home
medals, and only
one could be champion.
In third place, from Japan
JB Star Varsity.
Second place, Sorority
from New Zealand.
And with the gold, Sol-T-Shine
from Japan.
And after that, we're given a
special exhibition by the
winners of the mega
crew division--
The Royal Family from
New Zealand.
And then we were given a special
preview of Cirque de
Soleil's new show, Ka.
I was also able to catch up with
the Jabbawockeez after
the show, who were being
presented with the Living
Legends of Hip Hop award, an
award usually given to
individuals.
But for this, the first time,
awarded to a dance crew.
How are you guys enjoying
Vegas right now?
MALE SPEAKER: Vegas is the
entertainment capital of the
world, so for us to be out here
and stomping with the big
dogs like Cirque and stuff is
pretty humbling and very fun.
HOST: And how does it feel to
be receiving this award
tonight, to be the first
dance crew to be
receiving this award?
MALE SPEAKER 2: We're all
very grateful for it.
We work as a unit.
It's a true relationship in the
whole set of harmony and
understanding one another.
It's just the charisma,
you know what I mean?
It's that brotherhood.
It's that vibe.
That's what people like.
HOST: And finally the main
event, the adult division.
We saw some really spectacular
dancing all week, but for
this, they really have
to bring it.
In the end, it went
down like this.
In third place, The Academy of
Villains, bringing the bronze
home to the United States.
In second place, Neutral
Zone, the dancing
grandpas from Mexico.
And in first place, taking the
gold all the way back to the
Philippines, The Crew.
All right, I'm here with--
MALE SPEAKER: The Crew.
HOST: 2012 HHI Adult
division winners.
Guys, I've just got one question
for you right now.
What do you want to eat?
MALE SPEAKER 3: I want some
Popeye's fried chicken.
MALE SPEAKER 4: TC.
HOST: Is that a Filipino dish?
What does it consist of?
MALE SPEAKER 4: Pig's face.
HOST: 2012 HHI Adult
division winners.
They want to eat some
pig face right now.
All right, I'm here with Mr.
And Mrs. Schwartz, the
creators of Hip Hop
International and America's
Best Dance Crew.
HOWARD SCHWARTZ: We just want
to say that we're as excited
about it as all the dancers
that were here.
I mean, there was 183
crews, 43 countries.
I mean, the spirit, the
camaraderie, the
passion, the love--
it was unbelievable.
And then on top of it all,
it was a competition.
You know, it was fun.
KAREN SCHWARTZ: And we thank
everyone, all the dance crews,
all the supporters, for coming
out, for sharing the week of
championships with us, for
working so hard and bringing
their A game but also bringing
their passion and their talent
and their love of dance--
all together under one roof.
HOST: That's it for all the
DanceOn recaps of Hip Hop
International 2012.
Thank you, Mr. Schwartz.
HOWARD SCHWARTZ:
Thank you, sir.
HOST: Thank you,
Mrs. Schwartz.
DanceOn.
