I am PBEW! It is a diminutive because in fact, my real name is Philippe Beauroy Eustache. I am a painter, dependent on the plan! Well, in fact I adore drawing and I need it all the time. For me, it is really an obsession because I cannot stop! Constantly, I have to draw! When look in the past, drawing has always been part of me... and it is in 1996 that I put myself in the street art, by beginning with the tag and the graffiti as REAR! In 1999, at the age of 21, after several arrests in fact, I put myself in the "conventional" painting! It gave me a bigger freedom in fact and allowed me to express myself even more and to reach a wider audience, because for me, the street remains the biggest gallery! My influences? The 90's! Hip Hop... with groups such as NWA, Wu Tang, Bone Thugs'N Harmony... Graffiti, with respected crews such as OPC, CMP! Movies also, Menace II Society, Boyz'N The Hood, Scarface... Yeah! Major artists such as Picasso, Basquiat, with, powerful masterpieces like "Guernica", "Skull"! All these things influenced my pictorial art in fact, they opened my mind and gave me a bigger artistic dimension! Well, I draw heads, faces, portraits... because I am fascinated by the human being, his diversity the human being in his future, his evolution. That really influences my pictorial art. Well, I work on any base... Canvas, of course! But that can be as well boards I am going to find in the street, papers, newspapers... If i walk in the street for example and if I cross a mattress, if it inspires me I bring out my marker pen, I put a work on it and here we are! I don't hesitate in fact ! That is why I always have marker pens, white chalks, home made stickers on me. For me, you can draw on anything! Art, for me is freedom and it must be shared! That is why when the ASAP* (*Artistic Swap And Projects) concept was presented to me, I was instantly down! because it allowed me to widen my artistic supports.
