Korea Bans Pork Imports from Poland Due to African Swine Fever

Korea's agriculture ministry plans to ban pork imports from Poland after reports of
an African Swine Fever case in the country. Polish authorities earlier this week confirmed
that the highly contagious virus was detected in a dead wild boar near the Belarusian border.
Korea's ban on pork products follows a similar move in Russia.
The African Swine Fever virus has a very high mortality rate and has been confirmed in several
eastern European countries recently,... that said... it doesn't affect humans.
