How to Make a Rock Star Halloween Costume - How to apply basic rock star makeup

Hi this is David Jackel on behalf of Expert Village and I'm here to talk to you about getting basic make up for your rock star costume. Now basic makeup means nothing to crazy but just the stuff that most rock stars would have regardless what kind of particular rock star they are. So generally that means stuff for your eyes. A lot of rock stars are not going to be wearing lipstick, they are not going to have crazy kind of blush all over there faces but everybody wants to have nice defying eyes. Particularly when they are on stage they are going to want to have some eye makeup because there is some many bright lights. So what you are going to need is some eyeliner and some mascara. To apply the eyeliner make sure you are doing this in front of the mirror by the way you put one line down here on the lower lid on the inside of the lid and then shut your eye. Put another line along the top of the lid. The mascara all you have to do is put it on one lid and then blink your eyes together make sure there is not to much with the mascara on the brush. Open your eye, apply to your eye, one lid, blink your lid like that and do the same thing as the other eye. Other basic piece of makeup that you might want to bring in is nail polish many different of rock and roll include nail polish. The glam rockers have it, the hair band guys have it, some punks have it, grunge have it. So nail polish is fairly simple to use and if you are not familiar with using it, it may not hurt to get a friend who does use it to help you out. Basically what you want to do with nail polish is apply two coats to each nail, so you apply one coat, wait for about 5 minutes, once it dries off apply a second coat and you are set. Those are the basic makeup techniques you can use to give your costume a little more pazsaz.
