Camila Cabello and her Camilizers are showing no signs of leaving the paradise
of Cuba anytime soon as “Havana” is still riding high and picking up new
accomplishments on the charts.
"Havana" has now become the first song by a woman to top the Pop, Rhythmic
& Adult Pop Songs charts since 1996, as the smash is the new leader on the
Adult Pop Songs radio airplay chart dated March 3rd, which happens to be her birthday!
Happy Birthday Camila...Now back to work.
“Havana” previously led the Pop Songs chart for seven weeks and Rhythmic Songs
for three. The last song by a female to lead these three charts?
Well, it was Mariah Carey alongside Boyz II Men with “One Sweet Day."
And Camila isn’t done. Her follow-up “Never Be the Same” has reached No. 27
on the Billboard Hot 100 and it's steadily gaining on the three radio airplay charts as well.
Make sure you keep it locked on Billboard.com for all things charts and let us know in the
comments if you are still soaking up that “Havana” sun or if you're ready to
“Never Be the Same." For Billboard News, I’m Tetris Kelly.
