Hi, my name is Lynn Hobson.
I serve at Emporia State University as the Associate Vice President for Student Life,
and I am very excited to welcome you to our Hornet Connect Modules.
I am very excited about you being able to participated in this Module presentation of Hornet Connection
so you can learn as much as possible about some of the nuts and bolts of becoming a student of ESU,
and then come and be with us on the day of your Hornet Connection to go to the enrollment process
and see the campus and have an opportunity to visit the residence hall.
Mainly what I'd like to say today is that we are so excited that you've chosen Emporia State University.
There is a vibrant student life.
You are going to have many opportunities once you become a student to become involved in your campus.
As you will learn through this program
and others we have one of the most important thing you can do as a student to ensure your success
is to find other people who have similar interests as yourself
and then explore those interests through getting involved on campus.
There are over one hundred thirty students organizations.
If there is not one that is currently on our campus that serves an interest you have
then all takes is three people with a common interest to get one started,
we can certainly help you with that.
So, my office is on the second floor of Plum Hall which is the administration building, room 205.
If you ever need anything or if you have questions,
you are free to stop by and I'd certainly like to meet you
and help you facilitate any questions or processes you might have.
So with that go hornets
We will see you on your Hornet Connection day.
