Okay, so we've learned kind of how to walk in jazz, we've learned how to shuffle also
with the blues. We can use those same things, we can shuffle over jazz lines. But let's
look now at using the two feel. The two feel's important for ballads, and songs like that.
It's very important also to recognize what the drummer will be doing during a two feel.
If you're swinging and you're walking the drummers are going... if it's a ballad, if
it's a two feel, they'll basically be playing half that, just a lot slower. So notice a
drummer does when it does it, but the important thing is you're not only playing half notes,
like it might have sounded like it implied. Let's say we just have a one, two, five turnaround,
okay. But we'll say it's one for one full measure, and then the two and five split a
measure. So like one, two, and we'll say we're in C. One, two, three, four. Like C...or that's...D,
G, will be very simplified. Okay.
