Lets see what the back says
Lets see what the back says
Born in Kansas City in 1911 she had no thought of entering upon a motion picture career until she was urged on a dare
She played in several comedies and was later chosen in the leading role of "Hell's Angels"
And now a word from our sponsor
The meaning of a word as the sound it makes
To make sure readers read what they wrote, the way they want it read, poets sometimes resort to some unusual typography
For example
The last few lines of a poem by E.E. Cummings *French* "Hist Whist"
In celebration of Halloween
Oh the spaces, in between the lines, and after are meant to guide the reader
Goes like this
Whisk
Look out for the old women, with the wart on her nose
What she'll do to ya, nobody knows
For she knows the devil... ooch!
The devil... ouch!
The devil... ach!
The great... green dancing
Devil devil... devil devil!
