BILL>> IN TONIGHT'S HEALTH
REPORT...
WITH SCHOOL BEING OUT, BRYAN
HEALTH WANTS TO MAKE SURE KIDS
ARE STAYING SAFE.
JUST IN TIME FOR SUMMER, BRYAN
IS HOSTING IT'S 17TH ANNUAL
HEALTH AND SAFETY FAIR.
KIDS CAN TAKE PART IN EXHIBITS
AND GAMES THAT COVER EVERYTHING
FROM HOW TO CROSS THE STREET TO
BIKING AND PLAYGROUND SAFETY.
40 PERCENT OF ALL INJURY RELATED
E-R VISITS FOR KIDS HAPPEN
DURING THE SUMMER.
BRYAN TRAUMA PROGRAM MANAGER
ROBBIE DUMOND SAYS THIS SAFETY
FAIR WORKS AS PREVENTIVE
MEDICINE.
"It is a very busy time for us
in the trauma service. Obviously
we would like to not be, not
have to treat any of these
children at all, and preventing
these injuries is our goal. And
really is a function of our
trauma service here at Bryan."
THE HEALTH AND SAFETY FAIR IS
FREE.
IT'S NEXT SATURDAY FROM 10 A.M
TO 2 P.M. AT BRYAN'S EAST
CAMPUS.
