Hello, we're at the club "Funky Monkey"
talking to band FUSEDMARC... How are you?
Not bad
Your music often is being compared with Bjork, Sigur Ros and even Pink Floyd...
It's an honor to be compared with such musicians
but actually it is a type of managing
by different promoters.
I saw Mogwai or Bjork live...
Personally I think that we act differently
and we give a different experience.
You said that your inspirations were Jesus Christ and Bill Gates
We were all together to answer this one...
but those were just two extremities.
Your project was accredited as one of
the most interesting act in Baltics
Why do you think?
I think it's more of a journalistic image of us.
Well, we think that...
we haven't seen anyone doing something similar
or at least someone who tried to combine visuals
with electronic and alternative music here.
Maybe that is why it's so new and unseen before in Baltics.
Visuals are very important part of your performance
What would it be like without them?
It would be an interesting musical project
How did you decided to join electronic music with live performance and visuals?
We just decided that our show must be unique
it must give a viewer much more than he is used to see
How do you prepare the visual part?
We speak a lot about what is going to be in it
We write scenarios, filming scenes, looking for the right effect...
It is a very difficult process
When the new musical part of the song borns
Stasys quickly runs to think what is going to happen in that part
Or when the lyrics are being written
we try to attach to each other and it becomes a part of our scenario.
We're making this DVD now
which supposedly will be sent abroad to western promoters
Because you need to deliver yourself.
We do it not because we want to get into foreign market
We just don't want to keep it just here, it's not only for Lithuania.
It's more easier to thrill foreigners like that
Because, here we can just invite to our concert...
It's just, I heard so many times that standard answer of young musicians
that "the foreigners are not interested in us"
I think that people abroad judge differently
They are not very interested in where did you came from
They are checking how does it sounds and looks like
And the requirements are almost the same
is it a band from Finland, London, or Lithuania...
It'a a different situation in Lithuania
Here people judge by the native-ness of the band
and they judge...
by what's written about them.
