I'm running for President for the ASHA Board primarily because I feel like I've developed
a skill set that would be appropriate for performing the duties in that position, both
because of my experiences with ASHA, and then experiences in leadership outside of ASHA.
And during the three years that I would be in a position of that type, if given the opportunity,
I would like to engender the work we started in 2012, '13, and '14 on the restructuring
of the training programs in both speech pathology and audiology. Specifically, coming up with
recommendations for the undergraduate education programs.
