"SENIOR YEAR"
- Hello Lisa. How are you? How did the heart surgery go? - It went well. I'm just a little tired.
- I can understand that. But it's a relief it went well. When will you go back to school?
- I'll be back in two weeks. The doctors said I could go to the prom if I'm not too exhausted.
- That's great. We were so worried that you'll miss out on everything. I mean we've waited for this our whole lives.
- Yeah it's going to be so much fun. Can you notify Emma and the rest of our classmates that I will be fine?
- I'll definitely do that. You take care now, bye. - Yeah talk to you later, bye.
- Do you want some great news? That was Lisa, her surgery went well and she can go with us to the prom.
- Are you ready? - I think so.
- Take as much time as you need, I'll be here with you. - But what if they won't believe me?
- Of course they will believe you.
(Dialing number to the police)
- Hello, I'd like to report a ***.
- Miley Cyrus haven't... - A lot of crap has happened this year, don't you think?
- Yes, a whole lot of crap. - Yeah do you remember when Anna told me she was
pregnant? - Yeah that was really unexpected.
- No. - Or when Saga was ***.
- Yeah I was flabbergasted when she told me about that. - Yeah that can't have been easy to talk about.
- It really wasn't. You know, maybe we should get going? It's starting to get quite late and we don't wanna
miss out of all the fun at the prom. - Okay let's go.
- I don't know if I can go to the prom. - Of course you can.
- No I've got some cramps and... - That didn't stop you from folk dancing at your mom's
birthday party the other week. - That party was crazy but fun...
- Absolutely, I'm not even sure it was folk dancing.... - From the way you two were at it, no it wasn't folkdancing...
- Don't worry, everything will be fine. I mean this is the last few weeks of school and then our lives will start for real...
- A little time off from school is good enough for me. - Me too.
- I wonder who'll have the best dress tonight? - Maybe Jackie, or someone else, it could be anyone...
- I don't think we should be so obsessed about clothes. I mean people's personality is much more important.
- That's true. - I'm so glad to be here tonight. I thought for a while that I
wouldn't be able to go to the prom. - We're really happy you're here with us tonight.
- I think tonight will be awesome. I've heard that "Brev till Kalle" is going to play at the prom.
- Yeah! They were awesome at the 100 days before graduation party!
- Thank you. - Thank you.
- Thank you. Oh your seat is at table 16D and your date is Björn Oskarsson in NV3B.
- My date? - Yeah since you were both without dates we set you up
on a blind date. I hope it's ok. - It's more than ok. It's perfect. Hold on a minute,
Josse is on the prom committée. Admit that it was she who set this up.
- Alright, I admit it was Josse's doing. - Did you hear that girls? I've got a date for the prom!
- All's well that ends well. - I agree.
- I can't believe I'm dressed in a suit. - I know I didn't think that was you!
- Me neither. Everyone looks so grown up tonight. - That's because we're almost all grown up now.
- Yeah in two weeks our adult lives will start. - That's a little scary to think about.
- Nah, don't worry about the future. Let's just enjoy that we're young now.
- I agree. You know what I think tonight will be the best evening so far in our lives.
- I agree, let's have fun tonight! - Yeah, Cheers!
- CHEERS! - CHEERS!
- Hello. I'm Patricia. - I know.
- How can you know that? - Science is a mystery. How can we ever know anything
for certain? - Um yeah that's an interesting thought.
- I'm just teasing you. Your name's on the placement card. - Oh that explains it. I should have thought of that.
Where did you learn to do that? I thought romance was dead. - Well if you've spent a year in England you pick up on a few
things about being polite. - Oh I love England. What's your opinion of William and...
- "To be or not to be". - Huh?
- Why do you look so surprised. You were the one who started talking about Shakespeare!
- Oh My God. You thought I meant that William. - Yeah are there any others?
- Yeah Prince William. Don't you think he and Kate are a cute couple? I think they are the cutest couple
in all of England after the Beckhams! - They're all right I guess. But I'm not really into sports
or royalties. - Oh I just realized that I forgot to say hello. I'm Patricia.
- I know. - How can you know that?
- You're in my sister Elin's class. - Right, you're Gabby who used to date Danne.
- Well not anymore. This is my date Krille. - Hey we met online.
- Do you really have to tell everyone that's where we met? - Why not? This is the 21st century, everyone meets online.
- Well they say that love is blind. - What does that have to do with anything?
- Because you can't see each other online. You don't even know if you're talking to a hot babe or a 70 year old lady.
- I wonder if they have anything eatable at this place. - Yeah I hope we'll get to order soon. I'm starving.
- They say that "Hunger is the best spice". - Cool is that a quote from Jamie Olivier?
- Jamie, who? - You know that famous TV chef!
- No I really don't know. - So who did you quote then?
- Sokrates of course.
- Oh My God, how can you keep track of all those old Greek geezers?
- My teacher at junior High liked Sokrates. He used to say that as long as we knew that Sokrates died 399 B.C.
we knew everything worth knowing. - Sorry that I'm laughing. I guess you like him?
- It's ok. But don't you dare critize Shakespeare! - So Shakespeare's your favorite then?
- Yes you can say that. - Cool. I love Romeo and Juliet.
- Yeah it's really great. But my favorite is Hamlet. - Ah ok, I like Kate more in Titanic though...
- Oh that movie is really awesome! - Yeah it sure is and Leo was so hot when he was young!
- He sure did. But now he looks like a middle aged man! - True but that's what so fantastic about movies, that you
can freeze people in time on there... - Oh speaking of frozen, isn't that scene where they find
the mother and child who's frozen to death really awful? - Yeah it's horrible. I really didn't think I could cry any more
when watching that movie. But when I saw it at the movies in 3D. It just got to me. It was such a special
experience. It felt like I was on that boat and it was so weird. I cried my eyes out again over that movie.
- Yeah and I love the love story. You know when they are standing there at the fronf of the boat and kiss each other...
- Oh I love that moment... - It's so beautiful.
- It sure is. - It's really the best movie!
- Hello. Anything's going on between you and Björn? - I don't know. We get along ok I guess.
- Just ok? I mean I saw how you were laughing when you were dancing...
- Well he is a great dancer. - So do you think it can grow into something more?
- I don't know. We're not very alike. - In which way do you mean?
- He's really into philosophy. - But you still like him, don't you?
- I guess I do. - Then why don't you ask him out for coffee or something?
- But I think the guy should ask out the girl... - Seriously? That's so 19th century!
-I know it's old fashioned. But that's my opinion. - Well I've heard that Björn is quite shy so I guess it's up
to you to make the first move. - I'd prefer it if he could ask me out.
- Then I'll guess you'll have to wait. - Look at Saga, doesn't she and Rick make a great couple?
-Yeah they sure look happy when they're dancing!
-We've all studied hard all year and now it's soon time to take the final step into an adult world. We in the prom
commitée want to wish you all good luck in your lives. And now onto the moment we've all been waited for.
It's time to crown our prom King and Queen and who you've voted as our King and Queen is...
SAGA & RICK!
- Thank you everyone, I never thought you'd choose me as your prom queen. This means a lot to me. I would also
like to thank my best friend Josse who unfortunately is home sick tonight.
- Thank you very much.
- How long does it take to get more champagne? - I don't know, maybe she got distracted...
- And it's raining. - What are you saying?
- Here's more champagne! Anyone needs a refill? - Yes please!
- Yes. - This is my 12th glas so...
- There wasn't a lot left. But it's something. - Well let's share it equally.
- Thank you. - Can I also have some more?
- Sure. - How kind of you. Oh that's the last of it...
- Don't worry I'm not going to yell at you. But as you can see I'm going to hold a speech.
- But everyone's not even here yet. - Yeah shouldn't you wait a bit man?
- No. I think it's been great fun to get to know the class of 2012. Some of you I might never, never, never
never see ever again. But I'm sure I'll see some of you in our everyday lives. I hope you will succeed with
all your goals in life. I also hope we'll meet again. But today I think we should party *** hard and
make this a day to remember. Or maybe we won't remember it. But let's have fun today. Cheers!
- CHEERS! - CHEERS!
- Did you only have 12 bottles of Champagne? - Yeah. Sorry we're really out of champagne.
- Saga? Saga? Can we go talk somewhere?
- What do you want?
- I got called into the police station the other day... I didn't realize that you felt like that. I mean we were
both drunk and...I assumed that you wanted to. I knew that you liked me and I'm sorry...
I'm really sorry that I took advantage of you and that I ruined everything...
So can you forgive me? - I'm glad that you've realized how I feel. But I don't
think I can forgive you when I can't even forgive myself.
- It's so weird that school is over with! I mean we can study at the University if we want to but I don't know...
- I don't *** want to study anymore. Too bad we didn't choose a vocational training. Then we'd get jobs at once!
. It's too late for that now and it's hard to find jobs with just a High School diploma so I guess we have to study more...
- Don't worry about that today man. Just have fun and enjoy graduation. You can always worry tomorrow.
In fact here's a little something to lighten up the mood...
Have you heard this joke. What is it called when a fly have flown into a blonde's ear?
- I don't know. - Space Invaders.
- That joke was *** bad!
- How about this one then. Once upon a time there was a road and it was made of gravel.
- What's wrong with you man? - How about this one then. There was a man who stuffed
a bunch of fruits up his ***. First an apple, then a sausage and then a kiwi and then what's that yellow one called?
- A banana? - Oh so that was you?
- Magnus, do me a favor. Stop acting like you're a *** stand up comedian!
- I'm gonna miss Magnus sick jokes! - I know, who wouldn't miss me?
- I won't miss you jerk!
KAROLINSKA HIGH SCHOOL
- God, it's gonna be so nice with a summer holiday. But it's sad to think of that we'll never be together like
this again. Maybe we'll never meet some classmates again. - That's true. But you can always choose who to stay in
touch with. - Yeah but what about the people who you only talk to at
school. But never otherwise. We won't see them again. - True. But we should look forward to the future.
- Yeah we have our wholes lives ahead of us! - It's going to be so exciting to see what's out there!
- The question is what to work with. It's hard to decide on something and we can't try too many different things.
- I know. But you gotta choose something and then go in for it to 100 %. I'm sure it will be fine.
- Here's your hat back Felicia. - What is this?
- It's just a sun that I draw to make the text clearer. - "I hope your life will have more sunshine than rain,
Good luck in the future, from Sophie". - Isn't it nice?
- Yeah Sophie it's nice to be true to yourself. - Yeah I gotta say you're the one person in our class
I think I'll never forget. - I would just like to say that it's been fun to teach your
class and I really hope things will work out for you no matter what you decide to do in the future.
I hope you'll never forget the day that you graduated from High School.
- How do you feel, do you have any pain? - No I feel fine right now. How do I look?
- You look wonderful. To me you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen.
- Do I look good? - Yeah. You're really handsome.
- Do you think I'll make a good father? - The best.
- I still don't get what she sees in him. He has no sense of style.
- I know he's really weird. I don't get how he got chosen to be the King of the Prom.
- Cut it out girls. They like each other and Saga is happy again. That's what is important.
- You're right. I didn't know that Rick and Björn are friends.
- They're classmates. But it's a bit strange since they are completely different.
- They sure are. So what do you think, should I ask Saga if she and Rick wanna go on a double date with
me and Björn? - Absolutely if you like Björn. A double date is a good start.
- I think I like him. Okay he is not as handsome as Edward. But it's the inside that counts isn't it?
- I think that's ***. You don't get interested in someone if you don't find them good looking.
I mean have you ever seen an ugly movie star? - No. But guys in real life are rarely as good looking
as the movie stars. So I think you should go out with him.
- You're right Josse. Besides it's not like I can sit around and wait for Robert Pattinson to call me.
I mean I've heard he's dating Kirsten Stewart off screen anyway...
- I've also heard that. I wonder if I'll see a lot of celebrities when I'll move to New York? I've heard there's supposed
to be plenty of them there. - And I who thought you were going there to baby sit!
- Get real. The Au Pair job is just an excuse to get free lodging and food.
- Congratulations. With that attitude you will only last two weeks!
- Oh come on! I like children so how hard can it be? - I don't know. But I'm glad that I don't have to baby sit
to be able to move abroad. - Where are you moving Jackie?
- To London. It's gonna be so nice to quit this school so I can start with my fashion studies.
- You're so lucky. I also wanna move abroad. - Me too but I've gotten into Örebro University.
- That's a shame. But we'll still see each other anyway. - Yeah but it won't be like before. I'll miss you.
- Me too. You girls have to promise to visit me in New York. I mean we can go shopping during the days and
I think I know someone who can get us fake IDs so that we can get into all the night clubs!
- That sounds great. Of course I'll visit you Josse. - I'll visit you too. I've always dreamt about going to
New York. When we'll get there we just gotta see the "Friends-building". Wouldn't that be cool to see?
- Soon it's our turn. Let's go!
- Yeah now school is almost out. But it's now the hard part starts. I mean all that's awaiting us is unemployement
or University studies. So I'm sure it'll be boring as hell. - Lighten up Patricia! Have some fun today. It's not like
every day is graduation day!
- Let's go class!
(singing) Because we have graduated from High School. Because we have graduated from High School.
Because we have graduated from High School. We are the best dammit!
We are the best dammit! We are the best dammit!
