Chelsea looking to offload THREE stars to fund €100m move for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Chelsea want Cristiano Ronaldo to bring back the "spark" to Stamford Bridge, according
to Spanish reports.
Madrid-based sports daily AS have today claimed that Roman Abramovich has set his sights on
the Portugal skipper to "re-activate Chelsea's decadent image".
The report, by AS' Real Madrid editor Tomas Roncero, details the close relationship between
Abramovich and Jorge Mendes owing to the raft of players (and managers) that the super agent
has brought to west London.
And with Abramovich supposedly set on bringing in Ronaldo, the Russian magnate is willing
to spend over €100million to land him - in turn breaking the world-record fee for a transfer.
To fund this move, Chelsea will reportedly look to shift Oscar and Nemanja Matic as well
as Eden Hazard, who is widely expected to leave the club this summer anyway.
Real Madrid are long-term suitors of the Belgian, with Hazard and Marco Reus favourites to replace
Ronaldo or Gareth Bale if and when they leave at the end of the season.
