GIANTS IN THEIR
ARLINGTON STADIUM.
SINCE IT IS WEEK ONE----I
BROUGHT IN GARRETT
SANDERS---TO HELP ME
BREAK DOWN THE FIRST
COWBOYS GAME OF THE
SEASON----A SPECIAL TWO
MAN EDITION OF THE GOOD,
THE BAD AND TEH UGLY.
FIRST UP THE GOOD STUFF.
I ABSOLUTLY LOVED THE
OFFENSIVE LINE-----AND I
THINK WE ARE BOTH PRETTY
EXCITED ABOUT THE NEW
DEFESIVE
COORDINATOR---MOTE
KIFFIN.
I WASN'T SURE WHAT TO
THINK ABOUT BRINGING
KIFFIN IN AT FIRST, BUT
THERE IS DEFINITIE CHANGE
IN MENTALITY, AND I LIKE
IT.
AND IT'S NOT JUST THE
NUMBER OF TURNOVERS THE
BOYS WERE ABLE TO FORCE,
IT WAS THE CONCENTRATED
AND DELIBERATE EFFORT TO
GET THE BALL AWAY FROM
THE OFFENSE. FOR YEARS, IT
SEEMED AS IF TURNOVERS
JUST CAME TO THE
COWBOYS, POPPING UP OUT
OF NOWHERE, BUT TONIGHT
THEY WENT AFTER THEM,
AND IT PAID OFF. KIFFIN'S
NEW DEFENSIVE MINDSET IS
REALLY UTILIZING ALL THE
TALENT ON THIS SIDE OF
TEH BALL.
ALRIGHT-----NOW TIME FOR
THE BAD.
AND THE COWBOYS
OFFENSE---THAT HAS SO
MANY TALENTED
WEAPONS-----GOT OFF TO
SUCH A TERRIBLE START.
THAT'S CONCERNING ISN'T
IT?
ESPECIALLY SINCE WE
STARTED SO SLOW IN
GAMES LAST SEASON,
FORCING US TO ABANDON
THE RUN, AND THROW WAY
TOO MUCH.
BUT FOR ME, I'LL ATTRIBUTE
IT TO GROWING PAINS.
FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON,
NEW PLAYCALLING, AND A
BIT OF A NEW SYSTEM. I
WILL SAY, IT WAS ROUGH
SEEING DALLAS STRUGGLE
IN THE REDZONE AGAIN. IT
DOES US NO GOOD TO
DRIVE THE FIELD, THEN
STAUL DRIVE AFTER DRIVE.
BUT I LIKED WHAT I SAW
FROM MURRAY, IF HE CAN
STAY HEALTHY, AND RUN
WITH THAT KIND OF
INTENSITY, THAT SHOULD ...
SHOULD... ALLEVIATE SOME
THOSE ISSUES... HOPEFULLY
ALRIGHT---FINALLY THE
UGLY-----AND IT WAS
PRETTY EVIDENT TO
ME---THE COWBOYS
ROOKIES---HAVE A LOT OF
GROWING UP TO DO.
ALL IN ALL THE LINE PLAYED
WELL---BUT DID SEE A FEW
ISSUES.
YOU'RE FIRST GOING TO SEE
A MIS-SNAP FROM DALLAS'
FIRST OVERALL DRAFT PICK
TRAVIS FREDERICK. AS FOR
TERRANCE WILLIAMS, HE
WAS CONSTANTLY IN THE
WRONG SPOT, ALMOST
COSTING THE BOYS A PICK
SIX IN THE REDZONE.
DROPPING PASSES....
MISSING BLOCKING
ASSIGNMENT, AND RUNNING
THE WRONG ROUTES. IN AN
OFFENSE WITH SO MANY
WEAPONS, DEZ, MILES,
WITTEN, AND MURRAY...HE
IS GOING TO BE OPEN, AND
IS GOING TO HAVE TO BE A
RELIABLE TARGET FOR ROMO
ALSO UGLY--THE INJURY TO
DEZ BRYANTS LEG IN THE
FOUTH QUARTER---HOPEFULL
IT'S NOT SERIOUS.
ALRIGHT---GARRETT
SANDERS THANKS FOR
COMING ON
TONIGHT---SORRY ABOUT
YOUR TEXAS LONGHORNS.
YOUR TEXAS LONGHORNS.
SO THE COWBOYS GAME IS
IN THE BOOKS---BUT HOW
ABOUT THE HOUSTON
