Hang...hang on.
Push it around too much.
Don't move a lot right now.
We'll need passports.
Yeah.
So last night at 4 a.m.we're all sleeping in the car doing our 12hr drive...
...and a big truck swerved our car off the road.
We went down 10 foot in a river bank...
...and got sort of smashed up.
There's the scene of the accident right behind me.
Pretty interesting little ride down this hill.
I smashed my head and was dizzy didn't realize the car was sideways.
We're in Vietnam.
It's our second day and we're getting on a train going up the coast.
We're here at a music store in downtown Hanoi.
Checking out some instruments for the soundtrack...
...hopefully we can integrate some of these into the sound track
and create some good music.
See if we can learn how to play, the traditional way.
So I'm trying to play this here, but, it's way out of tune.
This thing doesn't look like it's gonna work for anything, but...
...it has a cool sound.
We came across this school, and, uhm...
we asked if we could have the teacher...
...ask the kids if they could sing for us.
So uhm, we got the classroom to sing some of the traditional songs, and...
...it turned out, ya know, just amazing.
Amazing music.
Each little classword ya know, sang, about two songs for us...and uhm...
..it turned out to be this, uhm, amazing little clips I got that are gonna...
...I think turn into a good piece of music for the soundtrack.
The road just completely iced over.
Well, we got a little strip right here.
We don't have any chains.
Car didn't come with them,
and if we can't get the car past this part we're kinda screwed...
...and we gotta go back to--
We're gonna have to push this car up that huge hill, right now.
Yea, looks like a whole lot more of the same.
Well, maybe we just need chains, ya know, just for our safety.
Why not steeper, with more ice inwards...
And we're done, yea.
It's probably slide off thi, or...
If we slide off the road, we're rolling, for the most part.
We can go back down...
Before we got to the hill we started doing the fishtail.
Yea.
And if we get to the top, going back,
even on this, we're gonna be sliding back.
Just gotta get her done.
And...we're going for it.
Nothing but blue skies.
Icey roads.
Alright.
Up one hill.
Just 300 K to go.
Please lord, let that be the highest point that we need to go through.
Oh I see the road turn back up, see it over there?
- Yeah. - Is that the road?
It's intensity in tent cities here.
Noone's said a word in about ten minutes!
Look at the road.
I see swell on the corner of my eye.
There's swell but it's not breaking.
If we slide out here we all die.
Go one mile an hour dude.
Cause that's--
(inaudible)
Keep it in second.
Whooohoo!
Ohh.
That's the first I haven't been scared, in like an hour!
What the *** now!!!
Are you kidding me?
I can't see *** dude.
Are my lights on?
I can see.
There we go, see?
Oh ***, there's a car coming.
Take your brights off. (What do we do about that?)
Maybe you can pull it.
Watch, right here.
Right here.
Pull over on the side.
Does anybody think I should go slow?
It's right there, dude!
And there's no brown on the other side dude.
There's no brown on the other side, it's just all snow.
That's the same mountain, but it's different.
You're gonna go too?
You guys are gonna freeze your balls off!
I think they lost our bags again.
They won't let my red camera come in
, because I don't have the proper paperwork.
So last night I dealt with them for like four hours
trying to get, get them to let it go.
And then I slept, slept at the airport, trying to get it.
And this morning I went in there and gave them a huge chunk of money and said..
"Would you take it now?"
He said, "no."
Yea my camera is still in Casablanca.
We've had a couple people try.
We can't get them out.
Cause I'm renting a camera but my bank won't let me get out enough cash.
We have enough for...one day.
So I can rent the camera for three days, but today's almost like, gone.
Done.
So I'm just thinking, like..
Rent it in the morning.
Rent it tomorrow morning.
We finally have the cameras, and we're going up the coast,
but the lense is broken, so...
I don't know what we're gonna do...we're gonna open it and try to fix it.
I tried pulling it apart... and...all I got was this big rubber band out of the thing...
So...
I don't know if that's good.
So..
Yea, now we're gonna go to tech support and see if they can put this back in.
We're driving to actually go film.
I have gear that I've rented.
And, uh, we have everything ready to go...
...except, wait..
Where's Jordy?
The two of us don't even know where we are.
But I do know, I got a pie in my hand.
And it's tasting amazing right now.
I've had alot of fin on this trip, uh..
It's good to travel with friends...and, and people that know how to travel.
So that's was great.
Cause there's no whiners and no complainers...
..even though we drove...all day...everyday.
It's late...it's gonna start right now.
Probably will.
Okay.
Well...see you on the next stop.
There was once a man who became unstuck in the world.
He realized that he was not his car.
He realized that he was not his job.
He was not his phone, his desk, or his shoes.
Like a boat cut from a tanker, he began to drift.
There was once a man who became unstuck in the world.
He took the wind for a map.
He took the scar for claw...
And he set off with no destination.
He was never lost.
There once was a man who became unstuck in the World.
Instead of hooks or a net, he threw himelf into the sea.
He was never thirsty.
There was once a man who became unstuck in the world.
With a polaroid camera he made pictures of all the people he met.
And then he gave all the pictures away.
He would never forget their faces.
There was once a man who became unstuck in the world.
Each person he met became a little less stuck themselves.
He traveled only with himself.
And he was never alone.
There was once a man who'd become unstuck in the world.
And he traveled around like a leaf on the wind.
Until he reaches the place where he started out.
His car, his job, his phone, his shoes.
Everything was right where he left it.
Nothing had changed.
And yet he felt excited to have arrived here.
As if this were the place he'd been going all along.
