The New Chevy Volt

how are you doing? my name's rob emmert commercial and fleet manager standing in front of a new chevrolet volt this car is unlike any car that's out there currently it's an electric car it's all electric uh... the tires it has light weight rims with low rolling resistance tires the whole thing weighs probably about fifty pounds the mirrors spend more time in wind tunnels a lot of cars do one thing that you have with this car that you don't have with a lot of other cars is a lack of motor noise to cover things up so these mirrors are engineered to be completely quiet come around to the back of the volt this deck lid is made like this so air spins and separates off the car so it makes it more efficient. uh... it's got the hatchback design so it has a lot of cargo space if you look inside here you'll notice you have your inflater kit and also this is the one ten charger that comes with the volt you could charge one ten or two twenty as we move around you'll see the back seat of the volt um... it does have four seats in the middle section is where the battery is it keeps in the middle so it's the safest in case there's any kind of impacted it doesn't get damaged and now we kind of take a look at the brains of the volt uh... it has an lcd touchscreen radio on that radio you can set the volt to charge whenever you want it because you can see when your energy is the cheapest and charge it there and you can set you're driving mode or your climate modes anything you want uh... technology wise the volt is second to none you hit this button here and it opens up where you charge the volt at whenever you plug the volt charger in and lock the car there's no way to get the charger out of there so that's not an issue this volt does have extended range mode that's a two point four liter motor that never propels the car all that does is makes electricity the electricity does not charge the battery because that would be inefficient the electricity just goes through the volt drive when your battery is depleted and the car is always electric i'm rob emmert and this is a brand new volt
