Dreadlocks Hairstyle Techniques - Dreadlocks - Lock extension

The next technique we're going to use, is the lock extension technique. Which is what I'm wearing here, and I really love, because, I don't like maintenance, number one, ah-heh. And, number two, I want to have the look that I want, right away. So, with this, we can create you beautiful long locks, that look like they're ten years old, in one day. And, that's what we're going to do here. First, we're going, we're going to use the same *** twist hair that we did in the last example. We're going to take a little piece of that. We're going to start at the top, grab it between your fingers, and what you want to do is wrap that along there and hold your hand, your fingers, as close to the base, as you can. So that you can get as close to the scalp as possible, and then you want to start wrapping, and working your way down the strand. Then, what you want to do, is braid it, every so often. Maybe you can go three or four stitches and then braid, and then begin wrapping again. And you want to braid it, so it doesn't slip. Using the *** hair. Then braid, add another piece of hair, you're going to run out of hair, then you just keep adding. Attach there and keep wrapping. And this is a pretty thin lock, and I'll show you also how to do a thicker one like mine. But, you know you can pretty much choose what you like. Some people like them thick, some like them thin. See how we're wrapping and then I'm going to braid. I'm going to continue wrapping, and then you want to just go up a little bit when you get to the end. See. And then you can take all those little hairs that are sticking out, and just kind of wrap them in. Just, even if can't feel them, just keep wrapping them and they'll, what they'll do is start locking. They'll start, every time you twist those little hairs in, it makes it tighter and tighter and it, it locks more and more. And, this is a process, this is going to take, for her hair to actually be locked, if. Now, this is something that can be temporary or permanent. She can leave these in forever, and her hair will grow out right with it, and it will blend right in with the lock. Her hair will lock along with this. Or, if she want to take it out, these can be taken out also. So, there's the lock extension we created.
