Utkasana also known as mighty or fierce pose, this is one of my favorites. So let's start
with the feet hip width apart. Second toes parallel. Take a nice deep bend in your knees,
as you bend the knees deeply, ground the weight evenly into the four corners of your feet,
hug the mid-line with the legs and move your groin back and your thighs back. So it's kind
of like you are sticking your butt back behind you. To balance that action, keep the groins
back but scoop the tail bone down and lift your low belly up. Now extend into your legs,
push into your legs. As you push down into your legs, stretch up into your arms, up through
the spine, hold for a few more breaths and see if you can even hear it soften your skin.
There is so much effort in this pose, can you surrender a little bit more? Then inhale,
rise up, standing, exhale, release your arms.
