G'day everyone. My name is Daniel O'Grady and welcome to another
Wasabicars video. Today, we are in Rocky Auto in Okazaki.
I was there last week, for those of you who don't know.
I spent an enjoyable couple of hours walking through Rocky Auto.
It was a lot of fun. No-one was there.
Well, Mr Watanabe was and he said to go for my life, and I did.
He wasn't next to me popping hoods & opening doors.
But, to be fair, he must get hassled by people just like me everyday of the week.
I mean, there are plenty of photos of this car, this "cabon" Hakosuka, all over the internet,
on Facebook, on Speedhunters, in all the local modified car magazines.
It really gets so much coverage, it's like a Kardashian.
Bamm! So yeah, carbon. There is some debate about
how carbon this car is. Everything that can be bolted on seems to
be carbon. And, everything that can't be bolted on seems
to have a carbon-fibre wrap. Either/either, it's still a fantastic looking
car. It's very striking in appearance.
So, I guess 'haters gonna hate'. I guess that's what they say.
But, yeah. It is a famous car for sure. As I said, he wasn't popping the hood and
opening doors, so we have to be happy with seeing it from the outside.
As you can see, it's got some over-fenders, and wide-*** wheels.
I'm really weak with specs. You're going to have to head over to Speedhunters. There's
a link below. O the wheels, what does it say?
It says, Workmeister CR-01, and they are wide-***. It appears the tires are different from the
Speedhunters article. Apparently the ones the Speedhunters article
were cracking or ill-fitting, or something like that.
They appear to be different ones on this one. I guess he's got that sorted out.
Well, guys. What do you want to know? The engine!
The engine is an RB26DE. This is a special engine. It was only found
in the Autech versions of the R32 Skyline. Apparently, My Watanabe bought a bunch of
these car purely so he could rip the engines out and put them in his creations.
That kills a part of me. Or, all of me. Or, all of a part of me, I don't know.
Kind of sad to see, but hey... Some cars are just not destined to have a
long life. But this one has had a long life, so that's
great. Okay, guys.
I think it's time for me to go. I hope you've had a good look at this car.
I hope you've enjoyed it, enjoyed how it looks. If you don't like it, well fair enough.
We all have different opinions. Quite frankly, if I had this car I wouldn't
do this to it. But, some people enjoy it; many people enjoy
it. Okay. So, thank you everyone.
Goodbye. See you.
