10. Disney's Aladdin was based to look like the number 1 Hollywood A lister of the time,
Tom Cruise. He had floppy dark hair, chiseled jaw and a look all the ladies of Agrabar would
die for.
9. Betty Boop stole everything about herself from Helen Kane. Kane was a popular actress
and singer from the 20s who rpetty much invented the whole im a sexy baby thing. She nt only
looked and sounded exactly like Betty Boop, bu her catchphrase as "boop-oop-a-doop". She
actually sued the creator Max Fleischer in 1936 but lost.
8. Cartman's mom in the South Park series is based loosely on the creator Trey Parker's
ex-girlfriend in college. He said she was a mild mannered mom type who would dress like
she was visiting Sunday service, then when they'd get in the bedroom she suddenly became
an outraged sex addict and her momsy image was dropped.
7. Norman Bates, the knife wielding momma's boy in Psycho, was actually a little tamer
than his real life inspiration Ed Gein. Ed Gein had serious issues, like taking to cemeterys
and exhuming females bodies, which he then used to create pieces of furniture with. Police
who searched his house found dozens of items made of ears, skin and hair.
6. Incredibles costume designer Edna Mode, is based on Hollywood costume designer Edith
Head. Head, who was a small brunette in bangs and wore round glasses, was incredibly prolific
during the 50s, 60s and 70s. She was nominated for 35 oscars for her work and won 8. She
was famous for saying "I hate modesty".
5. Sydney Greenstreet was a film noir actor famous for playing greedy gangsters in movies
like Casablanca and The Maltese Falcon. He was a monster in all and was the real life
inspiration for Jabba the Hutt. Geaorge Lucas instructed his design team to make Jabba "alien
like and grotesque, just like Sydeny GReenstreet"
4. Chuck Wepner is known as "the real rocky". Wepner was an unknown club fighter who fought
Muhammed Ali in 1975. In the 9th round, he knocked down Ali with a blow to the chest.
The fight continued until Wepner was finally knocked out in the 15th. He very nearly took
the greatest of all time the whole way.
3. Sergio Gutierrez Benitez was a Mexican priest who fought as mysterious masked wrestler
Fray Tormenta, then used his winnings to buy food for orphans. When Jack Black played him,
he was called Nacho Libre.

fact a real person. Maurice Tillet was a French wrestler known as "the freak ogre of the ring"
in the 40s. Tillet suffered from acromegaly, a thickening of the bones.
1. JK rowling used some of her own real life experiences to flesh out characters in the
Harry Potter books, especially Severus Snape. Her old Chemistry teachers described himself
as a short tempered, long haired chem teacher, in charge of a gloomy, malodorous lab who
loves picking on bright students. He picked on JK so much she based Snape completely around
him.
