Golfing has always been an activity that I've loved to do
Getting into golf: I would have to attribute that to...
to my friends pushing me; they knew I wanted to do it, but there's no way I was
gonna swing a club when I went out that first day.
I just was gonna ride in the cart, hang out, you know, with the guys.
A little camaraderie. We get up to the first hole and
a friend of mine pulls out...it was a swim noodle
And he had put a rope through the middle and they threw it around my waist
and they would pull back and resist while I would lean forward and swing the golf club.
It was the first shot I had taken playing golf with the C-Legs on
and I chipped in for an eagle
and after probably fifteen to twenty swings
I would get the feeling of what these legs are gonna do, how they're gonna react to how I was swinging.
It's been a very interesting transition period, going from a point in my life
that I didn't know if I was ever gonna walk again,
to where I am now: golfing 20-25 rounds a year, traveling, keeping up with the kids.
It was amazing how people responded to me walking
and swinging a golf club with the C-Legs on.
