Super Junior M - Perfection

[music] This week's Music Monday is the Wonderful Silly Hat Edition with Super Junior M's "Perfection" [music] It seems that SM Entertainment is going for this, like rock/grunge feel lately, we see it with this song and we also see it with TVXQ's "Keep Your Head Down" Since I'm a really big fan of Rock Music, if you can believe that, I'm really, really, really digging these songs, but we've gotta ask a question: what's up with these hats? They have these like amazingly slick outfits on, but then this gigantic like fur hat comes out of nowhere but, don't worry: Simon and I figured out what happened there: Perfect OK! Now, touch your lips! Great! Ok, now, quickly, wear this! What? Yes, it's very sexy. Girls love fur hats. This is Sexy? Yes, all the members wore it, just put it on! No, Siwon didn't wear it! Well, he protested but we gave him a bracelet. This is ridiculous I'm not gonna wear this. Ok okokok. We have one more option. Oh, that fur looks great! Oh! fantastic! To be honest, we've never been so stumped to think about something for Music Monday as we have been with this video. I mean, really, if you look at it, there's not much going on in this video. Of course, if you're a fangirl, there's tons of things for you to drool over in this video, but if you're a guy, or just the average user this video's kinda lackluster. There's no sidestory, there's no plot, there are no girls, There are no interactions, there aren't even any cool props. It's just a bunch of well dressed guys dressing really well in a poorly lit room with a bunch of shaky cameras. But there is that one cool part in which they all freak out over that giant spider that runs into the room. Yeah, I thought that was kinda cool [music] We found that Super Junior usually makes dances that can kinda help you in life. Stuck in the woods? Don't worry. You can learn to start a fire. Wanna clean around the house? Why not do some manly, manly sweeping, but we're a little bit at a loss for words with this song, because even though the entire video is a dance, it seems like there's nothing that can possibly help us, nono, that's not true [what do you mean?] I've found a dance move that's gonna help all the guys out at the club. Oh yeah [oh boy!] So you're at the club, right and you see this fine hunny and you walk up to her like "AYY GIRL! CAN I HAVE YOUR NUMBER CAN I HAVE YOUR NUMBER CAN I HAVE YOUR NUMBER And for some reason she gets upset and she tries to attack you, Super Junior M's got your back. What do you do? BLOCK THE NUTS! BLOCK THE FACE! BLOCK THE NUTS! BLOCK THE FACE! And it's all under control. Thank you Super Junior M. You just saved my life: Let's just pretend that didn't happen. I'm sorry! [music] As for the English of the song we give this a 3 out of 5 Now, here's the deal: their pronunciation in English is great: Henry even lived in Canada for a long time, so we're not docking them any marks for the pronunciation at all because their accents are perfect. What we are docking them marks for, though, is just that the English is so...AWKWARD! See, it felt like the songwriter was trying to mash every single cool English phrase he could in to one rap, and by doing so it just seemed awkward, so say stuff like: I'ma break it down. I'ma go all out Let me show you all my bling bling! It just seems so...forced and unnatural. But, you know what: if you're a songwriter for a major record label in Korea, and you want to make a really cool rap song in English, I've got the definitive guide for being a cool rapper in a Kpop song! [gong!] #1 Raise the Roof! #2 For shizzle my nizzle! #3 This is a good one. That's a fat right shorty! Next one: Shots Shots Shots Shots Shots Shots EVERYBODY! And last, a very tried and true one, and my personal favorite: What's your friend's attitude, why she so damn rude? HAAAAAAA [music] Last week we asked you who had the better foreign comeback: Big *** in Las Vegas, or Super Junior M singing in Chinese, and the winner was...actually, we've gotta give it a tie, even though, you know, Big ***, well, anyways, we have to give it a tie, because every time there was a Super Junior comment there was a Big *** comment. When there's a Big *** comment there's a Super Junior comment. So, it's just totally impossible. So, I guess, congratulations to both: it's a tie.
