Miike Snow - Ebba awards 2011 artist clip

Laid out below us is the enchanted Dutch city of Groningen. Since the Middle Ages it has been besieged, flooded, burned down... and had the plague. And now in the 21st century it hosts the annual Eurosonic Festival... which celebrates new European music and artists. During this festival the European Border Breakers Awards are held, the EBBA's... which are presented to new European artists... who have been successful with their music outside of their own countries... and have performed at international European festivals... and playlisted on the European EBU radio stations. This is Hanna for P3 in Sweden. Producers Bloodshy and Avant... wrote hits for Britney Spears, Madonna and Kylie Minogue... but felt it was time for their own band: Miike Snow. Their numbers 'Animal' and 'Burial' became hits... and like other Swedish artists such as Robyn, Lykke Li and September... they're now spreading Swedish pop music all over the world. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm talking about Miike Snow. I think it was a big mash-up between us three: What we like and that became the Miike Snow sound basically. Still have real songs, and I think it was just a good timing for our sound. I think it's a combination of man and machine. Something in the middle. The whole of South America, and Japan, Australia. Tour busses, hotels, airports, venues of course. It's over 200 shows. I think we counted 27 countries. It's been really crazy. When you get tired of touring, then it's time to get back to the studio... and when you're tired of the studio, hopefully it's time to go back and tour. We definitely like both of it. Right now we're hungry for studio again. I think that to have fun... that's my hopes and my dreams. For once let me have fun before I die. At least one time.
