High Performance Electric Motorcycle

This is an offroad (uh) motorcycle. It goes 55 miles an hour (90 kph). And we're coming out with a street motorcycle in a few months. (And that'll) That'll do about 70 mph (115 kph). So it'll be a lot more, a lot more speed, and more power. But this thing is an incredibly fast powerful motorcycle. Well this is the heart of the motorcycle. Right here this is our battery pack. (It's) It's a special battery pack which we developed. It's unique because it's a clean lithium battery. And it's a special type of lithium ion battery that contains no heavy metals or toxic chemicals. You could actually eat this battery. So it's good for the environment. Yeah it is. It's a salt based battery. It's approved for landfill in both United States and Europe. So it's (ah) unlike an alkaline battery or lead acid battery that's in your car. It contains no toxic metals. So you can actually put this in a landfill when you're done. The only problem with it, it's a little expensive right now because this technology is very new. But it really is the key (uh) to these electric vehicles. And we have some switches on the bike. (um) This is a sport and easy mode switch. So you can limit the acceleration. and what this does is it makes it less jerky, much more smooth, and easy to ride in easy mode. And when you want to pull wheelies, you can turn it to sport mode and then it's very easy to pick the front end up off the ground. The frame is all hand made. We (uh) custom make every tube on here. It's all very thin walled aerospace aluminum. So (so) it's a different kind of frame design. The whole frame weighs only 18 pounds (8 kgs). And it's extremely strong. We've never had anyone break a frame. And the wheels are a special (ah) design. We've designed the rim and spokes. It's an extremely light weight feel. So (uh) we make a lot of the parts here. Because a motorcycle wheel is generally too heavy and a bicycle wheel is just not durable enough. Yeah too light. So we had to make and develop a lot of our own parts. Almost everything on this motorcycle is a custom part. So that's what also makes us unique. There's a lot of people just converting (um) gas bikes to electric, but it doesn't (it doesn't) make for a very good vehicle. And the suspension's a custom design. Since I had a lot of experience doing suspension design for all of the racing vehicles I've designed for a lot of manufacturers. It's a special suspension with 8 inches (20cm) of front travel and 9 inches (23 cm) of rear travel. So ah how high can a rider go? As (as) high as you want to. (I, I) We've had guys jumping this a lot higher than I'd ever jump it. They're going (you know) 15-20 feet (4.5m-6m) in the air, going 60-70 feet (18m-20m) horizontally. So people can do as much jumping as you have the gutts for.
