Art Lives Here is a visibility campaign in the Gateway Arts District of Prince George's
County. The Creative Placemaking RFP is asking local artists, organizations, businesses and
residents in the Gateway Arts District to be a part of a project geared at making community
in an art focused way by taking vacant lots, buildings and existing businesses and energizing
them through the arts. These projects are focused in four towns,
Hyattsville, Brentwood, North Brentwood and Mount Rainier. This video briefly highlights
some possible projects sites. Our full list is not limited to vacant properties, artists
are also encouraged to work with existing businesses along U.S. Route 1. If you're interested
in working with any of these properties, we may have contact information available.
The deadline for the Creative Placemaking Proposals is Monday January 6th 2014. For
