[MARGO] If you don't have online access then you're just living in another age. Google Fiber Community
Connections means that we're gonna open up this wonderful world of Austin to a whole
lot more very deserving, very ready people.
[TAMARA] Austin is a forefront thinking city and a forefront do-ing city.
[MARGO] Community connections means to me exactly what it says.
A way to bring us together more. I think in everything we do, if people have access to the best,
which is what every person wants, then it makes the whole community better.
[HOLLY] Google Fiber will position Austin to become an even better creative media hub than it already is.
[JUANITA] I see this vibrant engaged community and the "underserved" is a term of the past that we don't use anymore.
[MIKE] We don't know how this kind of speed is going to impact our ability to have kids connect
with other kids in other cities.
[TAMARA] I expect that girls are going to tell me "hey, did you know you could do this?" "hey, I can do this." New horizons are possible.
[JUANITA] A gigabit is -- it's crazy! There will be more innovation, there will be more creativity.
[MARGO] It will simply open up more worlds to them and make them see themselves in a different way.
It's a marvelous thing -- internet access. It's freedom.
[JUANITA] We're seeing that 60% of our clients coming in really are looking for jobs. And if they are all looking for jobs in our one lab --
this is life altering. We're not talking about something nice to have.
[HOLLY] So if you think about a big innovation like Google Fiber and the concentration of creatives in our community, there's so much possibility.
