Today we have our annual "See You at The Pole" event. It's where we invite
all the kids throughout the school, we invite them to come worship with us, and
then after we get done with a few songs of worship then we're going to split up
into three different types of groups. We have the small groups, medium groups and
large groups. And the small groups, we're going to pray about, you know, more
personal issues, you know, what's going on maybe in your class and your life. And
we're gonna have small groups to pray for that. Then, in the medium group, we're
gonna pray for the school. You know, how can how can we help the school
get better what are some problems going on right now that we can address. And
then finally we're gonna have a large large prayer group, and that's where we're
going to discuss and pray about some of the things going on in the country and
in the world. So I would say that it's a very holy experience. We will gather all
together, we'll sing first, and then we will pray together in small groups, and
as we pray together then the groups will get larger we'll pray about different
things. And then at the end we pray as one large group. And this is a very
humbling experience. It's really cool to see that everyone is just here for the
same reasons. We're all here to worship God and we're all here to be together in
our faith.
Being a Christian in a non-Christian school can be super-difficult sometimes
and so to just come together with other people that relate to who
you are until your heart moves, I think it's super cool to just be in
that environment.
It's important because it shows that there's a Christian presence in the
community, and it also shows that we're all hoping for the same
thing and we all want our nation and our world to improve.
