Good evening everyone,
salam,
om shanti,
shalom.
Thank you for
being here at this meeting
for my part,
I would like as form of exchange
because Non-violence
is a topic large enough.
And especially when we talk about it,
we need to be aware
that we are talking to people
whom each of them
constitute someone in being
a non-violent.
The theme of the meeting
"Non-violence for everyone
Peace for All "
was born of a conviction
that all mankind
is a land of experience
of that Non-violence.
It is a word which,
at first,
refers to its opposite
which is violence,
but we always used to say
that non-violence also
is another way of making war.
And it is more difficult
because it should not have victims.
When we talk of Peace
it is not simply to silence the guns,
but we have seen,
wherever Peace was acquired by arms,
it is necessary in having an army to maintain peace.
In fact, true Peace,
that does not need an army,
is that produced by non-violence.
The studies we have made on non-violence,
on the basis of experience
people from different continents,
different religions,
different cultures,
different wisdoms,
find something
that is common to all these differences
and we have called this
"The initiatory path of peace".
In fact, we find through Peace makers
all that was the subject of crimes against humanity,
that is, religion,
culture,
race,
all these elements which are different
were for them fertilizing elements
showing that the difference is a necessity of life.
