Claiming to be revolutionary about 50 years ago,
Le Corbusier led the
architectural and urbanistic path
that the modern economy would require.
Between 1960 and 1970,
urbanism was charged with unlimited hopes,
a new science was going to be constituted,
an immeditaly effective science, a science of social life,
the failure is total, absolute,
and the practical result is absurd,
urbanism can be boiled down to
a mix of ideological considerations,
and mainly of bureaucratic decision taken
through a questionnably clever
compromise between the executive power and private interests...
