The Premier League returned last weekend and fantasy football managers around the world rejoiced and despaired in equal measure as the points started adding up and league tables began to take shape
With no midweek action this week, there is plenty of time to think about your transfers ahead of the second gameweek, which has thrown up some tasty looking fixtures
The highlight of the weekend is undoubtedly the London derby between Chelsea and Arsenal on Saturday evening
The Blues got off to a great start with a 3-0 win at Huddersfield, while the Gunners are already under pressure after a 2-0 home defeat to Manchester City
There’s another London derby at Wembley, where Tottenham host Fulham while in the Midlands Leicester take on Wolves
Champions City face Huddersfield at home, while their rivals Manchester United are down south away to Brighton
The action will finish off on Monday night with Liverpool facing a tricky trip away to bogey team Crystal Palace
We’ve had a look at the performances over the weekend and the fixtures ahead to come up with five players worth signing, five to sell or avoid and one who should make the perfect captain
IN: Richarlison (Everton: £6.6m) The Brazilian started like a house on fire for Watford last season, and a debut brace for the Toffees indicates he could do the same again
Expected to be fit despite being substituted with cramp last week, the midfielder takes on Southampton at home as part of a straightforward run of fixtures which includes Bournemouth, Huddersfield and West Ham
His price has already increased by £0.1m, but get him in before he gets even more pricey
OUT: Kieran Trippier (Tottenham: £6m) A popular selection after his brilliant World Cup with England, the defender was benched in favour of Serge Aurier at the weekend
The Ivorian delivered an assist and will be hopeful of keeping his place against Fulham this weekend
At £6m, Trippier is expensive for a defender, so you are better off investing the money in a player guaranteed to start
IN: Callum Wilson (Bournemouth: £6m) A goal and an assist against Cardiff on the opening day was an impressive start for the bargain striker
But we should not have been surprised. Over the first five games of each of the last five seasons, Wilson averages a goal every 111 minutes - a ratio bettered only by Sergio Aguero
Bournemouth face West Ham, Everton, Leicester and Burnley among their next five games - so worth a punt
OUT: Nicolas Otamendi (Manchester City: £6.5m) A fantasy football favourite last season, the Argentinian popped up with four goals, 15 clean sheets and 21 bonus points
But it appears Pep Guardiola is now favouring younger duo Aymeric Laporte and John Stones as his centre-back options
£6.5m is as expensive as defenders get, so if there is no guarantee of a start, it is time to replace Otamendi
IN: Benjamin Mendy (Manchester City: £6.1m) Fabian Delph and Oleksandr Zinchenko were only ever stop-gap options at left-back while the maverick Frenchman was out injured
Now fully fit for Manchester City, his marauding antics down the wing are bound to provide plenty of fantasy points - as exemplified by his two assists, clean sheet and three bonus points resulting in a haul of 15 away to Arsenal at the weekend
Faces Huddersfield, Wolves, Newcastle, Fulham, Cardiff and Brighton next. OUT: Marko Arnautovic (West Ham: £7m) Starved of service up front as the Hammers were thrashed 4-0 at Liverpool on Sunday, things might not get better for a while yet
Although West Ham play Bournemouth at home this weekend, the seven games after that include tricky fixtures against Arsenal, Everton, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham
The £7m forward may be more useful in the team come the end of October. IN: Aaron Wan-Bissaka (Crystal Palace: £4
1m) Already a popular option as he cost just £4m before the season started, the young defender raked in 12 points on opening day
An assist, a clean sheet and three bonus points has resulted in a £0.1m increase in his price
However, that is still an absolute bargain for a player who looks set to feature regularly for Palace
After this weeks’s game against Liverpool, there are plenty of easy fixtures on the horizon for the Eagles
OUT: Leroy Sane (Manchester City: £9.5m) Many would have expected the German midfield ace to start away to Arsenal after his brilliance last season and a summer of rest - but he fell foul of Guardiola’s midfield rotation
With Raheem Sterling back among the goals, and record signing Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva both looking good - Sane may be on the bench again fairly option in the weeks ahead
At £9.5m, your money is better off invested in a guaranteed starter. IN: Jorginho (Chelsea: £5m) The new signing is clearly set to be a key figure in the Chelsea midfield, and the fact he is taking penalties for them makes him a very good option at a bargain price
Maurizio Sarri likes his midfield to be all action, so while the Italy international starts as the deepest of the midfield three, he has plenty of licence to get forward and should get more goals, assists and bonus points as the season goes on
OUT: Xherdan Shaqiri (Liverpool: £7.5m) The Swiss ace had a good record on fantasy football last season, bringing in 155 points including eight goals and nine assists
However, that was when he was the key figure at Stoke. While he will get game time at Liverpool, he is highly unlikely to start unless either Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino or Sadio Mane are injured
Spend the £7.5m on a different midfielder. CAPTAIN: Sergio Aguero (Manchester City: £11m) He might not have scored away to Arsenal, but the superstar forward has already got off the mark this season with a brace in the Community Shield against Chelsea
A fixture at home against Huddersfield is the exact sort of match where the City man tends to run riot
Put your faith in him this weekend. Don’t forget, the Fantasy Premier League deadline for Gameweek 2 is at 11:30am on Saturday, ahead of Cardiff’s match with Newcastle
