If you can make someone feel special, that is immense.
That can hardly be explained. Nothing gives you joy like making someone happy.
That is, I think, the reason which motivates me to be a host.
Being a host, it's not a very, very casual decision. Being a host is a responsibility.
India's a very dynamic country.
My objective is, if someone comes here they should be connected to the place in the right
way.
Me, as a host, I think is kind of connecting these different dots together, a kind of narrator.
Someone really told me, a guest [that, you know], "I may have done a lot of things, but
actually the high point of my stay was how you made me feel.
And how you made me feel, it sticks. It sticks with you."
We have an old scripture: [Indian language].
"Your mother is a god. Your father is a god. And your guest is a god."
The presence of a guest here is that you treat them as your family.
They trust me, and I trust them. And that's the reason it works.
So, hospitality, if you ask me, is about taking care. It's about welcoming. This is about
welcoming with open heart. My name is Nalin, and I'm a software retail consultant, and
I'm an Airbnb host.
