Hey guys, This is Goji73 comin' at to you with a figure review!
Now that
my newest Collection Update reviews are now on the way
here is the next guy,
after Gojira.
And here he--
and here IT is...
The '74
MechaGodzilla
That's right.
After that amazing sequence,
yes. The Bandai Creations
'74 MechaGodzilla.
Now... you should all know
most of the monster's history in MechaGodzilla so I'm gonna skip his...
*fumbles*
history as always
and get onto detail.
Now seeing as I have
another MechaGodzilla similar to him
lets pull it out.
The '75 MechaGodzilla.
Now here's just a comparison between the two.
Now this is by Bandai (right) and this is by Bandai Creations (left).
To compare between the two MechaGodzillas,
in all honesty it's the same exact figure, just
switched around in pose (as you can obviously tell...)
But for any other differences,
The '74 (Godzilla?)
is more all around silver
with like, more paint in different spots.
Like for example: the orange right here...
The head is just fine the way it is
and right here: the Logo on his uh, right hand/arm.
You can see "MG,"
that's "MechaGodzilla" on the side, so yeah.
Everything here is really accurate and to
tell the differences between the two...
The '75 lacks some front
paint. And "MG2," that means its
the "MechaGodzilla 2" that appeared with Titanosaurus in "Terror of MechaGodzilla."
and uh
if it's any other differences,
it has to be like,
body structure.
Like, since this is MechaGodzilla 2,
his body's much
fatter and
shorter, and more built around power (which he was in the movie...)
Whereas this is the first MechaGodzilla, it's more sleek,
and the tail is short because... (he never really use the tail but just to give it a little recognition) and his body's a little more slimer.
So yeah that's a
short difference between the two.
Now again detail is
really nice on this guy, I mean just the little extra areas on here to differentiate between him and the '75.
So yeah, detail is really good on this guy.
and
articulation too is really good here, 7 points!
both the arms
rotate 360 degrees.
As does the head like in the movie.
Even the waist too rotates 360.
If you move the arms out of that way,
both legs rotate 360 too.
and that's a--
and that's nice touch right there...
...m-marks that first mistake because I made one.
6 points of articulation, but still that's really good because
MechaGodzilla was incredibly enough
versatile
(I guess that's the right word...)
a lot of his body parts rotate in the movie too.
Now onto sizing...
Now, seeing as he fought 4 monsters in the movies lets pull them all out.
You already saw him compared to the
'75 MechaGodzilla,
lets pull out of course who his opponents were first:
Godzilla
Yeah, this is accurate.
MechaGodzilla actually is a little taller that Godzilla when they first appear
I could be wrong and Godzilla and he could be the same exact height, but I'm pretty sure MechaGodzilla is taller, so yeah
Sizing is really good here...
Now lets pull out his--
other enemy that he fought first:
King Ceasar
Yeah, this is accurate too.
King Ceasar was indeed shorter that the first MechaGodzilla,
because when you see them in action, there actually is a profile shot and--
MechaGodzilla tries to hit him and King Ceasar ducks, so yeah.
This is
really accurate
again.
And now, lets pull out his partner in crime.
Although this is
not that MechaGodzilla, he still partnered up with this guy:
Titanosaurus
I don't know how good this is compared to the
'75 MechaGodzilla
but yeah
Titanosaurus again is taller than MechaGodzilla, so there's no real problem here
It can easily be marked off
and yeah, they're buddies.
Now lets pull out someone he fought, not in this form, but earlier on
in his first movie appearance
Anguirus
Now of course when MechaGodzilla was in disguise
he looked exactly like Godzilla, (as you see here...)
and judging by the size
It's... I guess it's alright
I mean
He didn't really fight him in this form, so I don't know why I'm doing this...
But yeah, just thought I'd show him off since
the two did
technically fight.
And finally rareity
he is part of the newest line--
of Bandai Creation Figures, along with Gojira like I said in the last video
Line 6 (Thank You to one anonymous Heavenly King...)
um
yeah, he's
he's part of the newest line, so he's pretty common and
quite a good choice by Bandai Creation
cause lets face it...
MechaGodzilla '75
He's pretty rare and pretty expensive to find now...
So yeah, good move by Bandai Creation
and a really great figure.
And that's it for this review, history: he is one of the big guys
of Toho's "Big 5"
So his history is pretty well known.
Detail is really good
Sizing is really good
The Articulation is really good that and rarity is really common
So I'm going to give this guy a 10/10
One of Bandai Creation's better works
no doubt about it
And so that's it.
I hope you enjoyed this review!
