Who
doesn't love a good dlc pack for the kickass Batman games that have been released over
the last few years. I thoroughly enjoy being able to play as more characters in games that
I absolutely love, and if you checked out my reviews on Arkham City you'd already know
I'm absolutely crazy about this game.
The Robin DLC package was released after Nightwing's DLC in November and currently costs 6.99 or
560 microsoft points just like the other package.
The coolest part of this Robin's backstory is him being the Tim Drake. This Robin came
into play after the second Robin dies in the series and Tim becomes the third Robin in
existence. You also catch a little bit of Robin in the game when you're playing through
the actual story when you're bombarded by some assassin's so if you still haven't got
to that exact part, keep your eyes peeled for some Robin cutscenes.
The downloadable content however only really gives you the ability to play the challenge
maps. Robin's dlc includes him being usable in challenge maps and also gives two new challenge
maps to the people who buy this.
These two maps are freight train escape and black mask hideout. Both of these two maps
all have intimidating names but are equally fun to play. Although the majority of my time
you'll catch me playing with Robin on the Wayne Manor maps more.
Robin's weapons and arsenal are more exciting I felt then Nightwings. With Robin you have
his bo staff as his main weapon but also you have a zip-kick as well as many other gadgets
for use. My favorite though was his shield because you can basically shield bash the
crap out of a thug and they go falling over and after a takedown the guys' out like a
light.
Robin comes with more skins then Nightwing did though which rules, you get not only the
animated series wide jawed boy wonder but also includes the Red Robin version of Tim
Drake. It's also nice to go check your character models section and look at how much detail
was but into the different models of Robin, especially the red robin. I feel as far as
games on the 360 Arkham City is one of the best looking games to date, the lighting and
textures are absolutely flawless to me on the console and actually I've also seen them
on a pc too and you literally can see every hair on their head rendered. Rocksteady has
a bunch of champions working on their game apparently.
So whether your calling is as Nightwing or Robin the boy wonder, you'll want to at least
check out one of the awesome packages available for download for the game that the Video Game
Awards dubbed best 360 game to this year.
