If you want to start playing Footbag, I have several tips for you!
The basic elements are 4 kicks;
The Toe Kick,
The Inside Kick,
The Outside Kick,
and the Knee Kick,
which is to be used to get the bag under control.
When you master the basic kicks,
it is time to learn the basic delays.
Those are 4 as well;
The Toe Delay,
The Inside Delay,
The Outside Delay,
and The Clipper Delay,
which is The Inside Delay behind your support foot.
The last trick I will teach you is called Around The World.
The easiest way to learn it
is to set the bag straight in the air,
move your leg to the side of your body
and when the bag starts falling down,
put the leg back to the initial position passing the bag above it.
As you can see I perform my Toe Kicks with loosened ankles,
but this is not the right method for the beginners.
The correct one would be to fixate the ankles
and lift your leg using just the hip muscles,
like a crane movement.
The reason for that is to have the bag uder control
and make it go straight up in the air.
The basic difference between a kick and a delay is
that during a kick you move your foot
against the bag and make it bounce.
During a delay you move your foot the same direction as the bag goes,
then you slow it down, stall the bag on it and again set it in the air.
The delay looks like this..
and the kick like this.
Do not get discouraged by how hard footbag looks like!
