hey everyone so for this project you'll need newspaper
tin foil plaster cloth plaster powder sandpaper or nail file
tape paint brushes acrylic paint modge podge
and a headband
First take your tin foil and a whole lotta tape and shape how
you want the antlers to look on your headband
next take your plaster cloth and cut that into tiny strips
dip it in water and then cover the entire frame you just made
you can use paper mache but it tends to tend to take a lot longer to dry
you need a lot more layers for the same amount of strength that plaster cloth gives you
when you first layer of plaster is dry just take some sand paper or a nail file
and just smooth down any rough edges you see
Right here I'm just showing you that when you pull apart the headband
the edges lift up. So when you do your second layer of plaster
just make sure you reinforce and make sure your antlers are secured on your headband
Next I'm going to be taking some plaster powder or plaster of paris,
and i'm going to make a mixture with some water
you don't want it to be too thick or too runny
I find when you use plaster cloth it tends to get lumpy
So my trick is to use plaster powder smooth it on with a paintbrush
whatever surface you're working on, it just creates a smoother texture
Once that layer is dry, take a nail file or sandpaper and smooth down rough edges
and smooth down rough edges you see
Next take some acrylic paint, first prime your surface.
Then take any brown shades you have
and paint your antlers
to finish off your new headband, just take some mod podge
and cover the entire surface
