French Listening Exercise #2 - L'environnement

So, I was asked to speak about the environment for a listening exercise so I am going to tell you my opinions regarding worldwide problems and I hope that it helps you to listen to French. As usual, if you cannot understand, there are subtitles in both French and English to help you. So, the environment. I think that it is important to look after the Earth and I don't think that we are doing enough to avoid the consequences of the greenhouse effect. There is still too much pollution, too much carbon dioxide and the bad situation that we face at the moment is not improving. Firstly, crude oil will not exist forever and we depend on it too much. We should use alternative energy like the sun, the wind and water that are not finite. Yes, there are those who already use such energies, but that doesn't work; everyone has to use them in order to make a difference. But why? There are those who think that the environment is a problem for the future that we don't have to think about - but I think otherwise. If we stop relying on crude oil and natural resources, we will avoid a problem for the future and our children will live without worrying about the environment. So, if we fight the problem now We can prevent a worse situation in the future. With all the technology that we have nowadays, it is surely possible to reduce our dependence on natural resources and, in doing so, we will create a cleaner, more eco-friendly world.
